“It is difficult to envision an environment more effective than ours for producing nearly universal body dissatisfaction, preoccupation with eating and weight, and clinical cases of eating disorders and obesity.” —Kelly Browell
Each of us is born with the innate ability to regulate what and how much we eat based on our body’s intuitive and physiological signals. However no one is immune to our weight-focused culture where food rules can disconnect us from our hunger and fullness cues, promote unhealthy and unsustainable eating habits, and leave us both physically and emotionally drained.
In my nutrition counseling sessions, I work with you to deconstruct unhealthy beliefs about food and your body to help you gain insight about how your eating habits influence your mental, emotional, and physical health. By providing individualized counseling, evidence-based nutrition information, and guidance on meal planning, I help you reach your health goals in a way that fits your lifestyle and eating preferences. I’m here to support you in the process of becoming the healthiest, happiest version of yourself!

Initial consultation: During this 60-minute session, I will do a full assessment to really get to know you and to answer any questions you may have. We will review your medical history, exercise habits, sleep patterns, and stress levels and we’ll explore your relationship with food by discussing your current and past eating habits. We’ll wrap up the session with a personalized plan including long-term goals, small action steps, and helpful resources to get you started.
Follow-up sessions: During 45-minute follow-up sessions, we will revisit and adjust your goals, talk through your concerns, and work through barriers. I’ll provide you with the tools you need to keep you accountable, motivated, and supported as you move towards a healthier relationship with food and your body. We’ll wrap up each session with a personalized plan, reviewing long-term goals and small action steps that you can implement and practice between sessions.
Please Note: I do not bill insurance companies directly. I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, but payment is due at the time of service in the form of cash, check or an electronic payment via Venmo private pay.
